Lavender Wand

Lavender Wand Weaving

Pay What You Feel (PWYF) plus the cost of ribbon, (or you can bring your own ribbon / lace); tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

This is the second Small Shed Session this year, and I’m very excited to be sharing this fun outside space with you. We will be making Lavender Wands and Bottles (a bottle is a more round shape). These are a wonderful and creative way to use all that gorgeous lavender which is so abundant this year, to preserve the wonderful aromas, and maybe even start on your Christmas gifts selection (did I just use the “C” word? I’m so sorry… it was going to happen sooner or later).

So come on and join me having some aromatic weaving time!

Conscious Creativity WorkshopWORKSHOP

Conscious Creativity

Date: TBA

£45 – includes all materials, tea, coffee, and biscuits.

Bring your own lunch.

Calling all Creatives!

Do you find yourself a bit stuck with finding your creative muse?

Come and spend a day freeing up your creativity and find some adventure in this friendly Creativity Workshop.

With plenty of hands on fun with guided exercises, you will be using fabric and fibre, colour and texture in a refreshingly different way to learn how to let the materials you choose come to life and allow your inner creativity to find its outward expression.

Inspiration is an “inside job” too, so there will be times for guided reflection, visualisation and inner discovery throughout the day to help you find your muse and to get practical with it.

At the end of the day you will have learned practical and fun ways of releasing yourself away from the inner resistance allowing your ideas to flow and become real. Rather than feeling pressured to “go with the flow”, you will actually feel part of your own flow!

Textile artist and teacher, Rachael Greenland (The Textile Tutor) will be your guide for the day, as she “encourages and quietly inspires a confidence to try by nurturing without suffocation by growing roots, and enticing people to try their wings and fly.”.

I look forward to meeting you, and helping you to access this wonderful way of working creatively in flow.

  2. I’m struggling with confidence and know how to create any patchwork or quilting ideas and I don’t seem to be able to find a local group. I think that it’s the lack of knowledge that creates this. I’ve bought many books, but it seems gobbledegook. What am I doing wrong?

    1. Who said you are doing anything wrong? I have hundreds of books, but mostly find myself enjoying the pictures! It may be that you are a more visual learner, in which case Craftsy courses or online YouTube tutorials may be a way forward for you.

You are as you are, and there will be many people out there like you, and like me, who struggle with mainstream learning methods. I bore easily (I’m just doing an Udemy course and am thinking that the washing up is more interesting!).

Keep looking for different ways to learn and you will find something and someone to support you.

      Good luck!
